COOLANT MAINTENANCE PROGRAM (CMP)
We are always pleased when customers select CoolFlow specialist antifreeze and coolants for use in their chillers
and HVAC systems. It confirms their awareness to the problems associated to multi-metal cooling systems, and subsequent
benefits of installing a coolant with compatible corrosion, scale and biological inhibitors.
As with other water treatment programs for industrial closed loop systems, Hydratech recommend proactive monitoring
after the installation of CoolFlow products. I.E. although the inhibitors will be working to eliminate corrosion,
scale and biological fouling, their continued success and reserves can only be confirmed through periodic testing.
The time between tests varies, depending on; system make-up rate (leaks etc.), size and value and of course maintenance
budget. Under normal circumstances we would recommend a quarterly testing program.
Hydratech operate the Coolant Maintenance Program (CMP) for all CoolFlow installations. Whereby we provide our
customers with pre-packaged and labelled bottles for collecting and despatching of samples to our lab for periodic
analysis. This eliminates the unnecessary charges associated with technicians travelling to site and carrying out
tests using less accurate portable test kits. After analysis by precision curvette and photometer a detailed report,
including any recommended action, is sent to the customer.
